Hickory Dickory

17 February - Today we met Jenny and her girls, Issy and Amelia, at Hickory Dickory to play. Max loves Hickory Dickory, especially the slides! Jenny and I spent most of the time talking, while B.D. ran around the soft play area with the kids - what a wonderful man! Then we all had a juice drink and some chips (aka french fries).
Thank you to everyone who sent lovely Valentine's Day cards - Max had a fantastic time opening them up over dinner last Thursday.

This week has been frantic for both B.D. and I: my tradeshow went really, really well and B.D.'s business meetings and networking groups were very successful. Overall, a great week and weekend....now on to getting ready for the next!

11 February - New Baby

Hello Everyone - our big news of the month is we are expecting another baby! The little one is due the end of August, so we're already 3 months along. No preference if it's a boy or girl, just so long as it's healthy.
We've told Max there is a baby in mama's belly, and he seems pretty excited. There are several other children in his class who have pregnant mums, so they'll all be going through the same thing at the same time.
So far I've been feeling pretty good, a bit tired, nauseated in the afternoons, and overall horrible when the cough and cold wouldn't go, but now things have settled down and I'm doing great. And we had a scan last week and the babe is growing just fine: two arms, legs and a pumping heart!
We'll keep you posted on how things develop, expect to start seeing some pictures of Michy and bump!

PS - I didn't know people could post comments, so thanks for showing us how that works, Janis!! And please keep the comments coming, they are so fun to read!

Sunday, 20 January

B.D. has been so good about taking Max swimming, and at two years old Max is completely fearless. He loves jumping in off the side of the pool and has started using his arms to swim, in addition to kicking!

On Sunday mornings B.D. goes to a boxing fitness class for an hour (9:30 - 10:30) then the last couple of weeks Max and I have met him at the Priory pool.

Today was great as there wasn't anyone els ein the pool so we were able to take a couple of pictures. I also took a couple of videos and will try to upload a bit later.

In the meantime we are headed out to the Harborne High Street to take a little walk and find a movie for later.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Love,

M2 and B xo

Michelle's New Car

On 3 January I got my new car....it's soooo cool. It's the same car I had before, only newer and faster! B.D. is bummed because now I have the newer car, and he thinks mine goes faster (he would know, I've not even driving it faster than 40 miles per hour, yet).

It's an Audi A6 Le Mans, 2.7 tdi. I went for the family-standard colour, silver with black interior. It's on a two year lease so I intend to fully enjoy it for that entire time because I'm sure I'll have to go with something smaller in the future.

The best feature is the heated seats - they sure make the drive to work at 5:30am much nicer.

And Max likes riding in it, too!

More later,

We have returned back to England after a whirlwind trip to America. We had a great time with loads of family and friends, and Max was showered with tons of love and gifts. Now everytime Max sees an airplane flying he says "going America", he would like to catch the plane back anytime.

After a few days of readjusting to GMT, it was time to celebrate the end of 2007. Max and B.D. made cookies in the afternoon, then we had friends over for an evening of games and drinking! We all stayed up to see in 2008 and had the traditional (Spain) 12 grapes (they didn't go down so easily for all involved) and watched the London fireworks on tele.
Keep watching this blog for new and exciting things as they happen...and hopefully some videos, too!
