Bahok dance event

14 May - Edward Jones and Challinor's Solicitors jointly hosted a group of Chinese and Hong Kong professionals, along with the Chinese Consulate General, for an evening at the Birmingham Rep to see the Bahok dance event.

Choreographed by Afrim Akrim, and in partnership with the Chinese Royal Ballet, Bahok is a 70-minute contemporary dance show defintely worth watching. The music was amazing, very rhythmic and inspiring...and it propelled the dancers through the story of their origins.

The event was an opportunity for B.D. and Arun to network with this influential group of people, who all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the evening and the show.

Day Out in Lichfield

18 May - Our good friends Charlie and Al, along with their wonderful children Jack and Libby, invited us to spend the day walking through Lichfield and enjoying some time together. This was great as none of us had ever spent any time in Lichfield (and it is the home to the ONE cathedral in all of the West Midlands represented on the newly-launched UK cathedral postage stamps!).

The weather was beauitful, not too hot but lovely and warm (ok, until the afternoon, when we decided the time was right for ice cream).

We started in the park feeding the ducks, then toured the cathedral...then through more parks and beautiful green areas with fountains and tons of flowering trees.

The Walsgroves are fantastic company and we had a wonderful day out!

My New Turtle

For Christmas Tia Laurie and Mono Matt gave me a turtle sandbox....now if Mama and Papa would only get me some sand for it....\"/

MedilinkWM Team Away Days

8 May - As soon as I returned from WA, my company hosted a two day away-day near Warwick Castle. Day one consisted of intense work on the company goals for the next 6 years, followed by a fun-filled dinner where spouses joined us.

The second day we had our own personal knight who took us around Warwick Castle, taught us how to sword fight, work the giant trebuchet and then tour the grounds.

If you haven't been, Warwick Castle is a great day out and loads of fun - even if you don't get to sword fight a knight (or your co-workers)!

Tacoma, WA visit

5 May - I jetted across the water to spend a weekend with family in Washington. The weather was so similar to England it reminded me just how small the world really is. I brought along "Mo", Max's monkey made for him by his Bisabuela Joy, to get the open wound sewed back up, and Max was so thrilled to see Bisabuela could fix Mo's boo-boo that he danced around the kitchen with Mo!!
