Athletes already??

Max has started a game of kick bowling in the hallway, and Talia is doing yoga with the characters on the tv.  These kids are too funny, and obviously are going to be more athletic than their mother!!

Playdate with Tyler

Max had a friend come over, the son of a gal I work with, Tyler.  The two boys are very close in age and had a great time together, especially collecting toys from all over the house to fill the pirate tent.  Hilarious!

Note to Everyone

Hi there,
I have already had some questions about Max's birthday and Christmas gift ideas for the kids, so to make life easy I have uploaded some items I know they need/want to our Amazon.co.uk wish list.  The list name is Dalton Family Wish List, but you could also type in my name and Birmingham, England and you should be able to find it.  If not, just drop me an email and I'll send you the link.

There is one other item Max really wants, its a scooter:
http://www.micro-scooters.co.uk/product_info.php?id=1645

Please do not feel obligated to get either of the kids gifts for the holidays, the chance to Skype or have a phone call is gift enough.

That's all for now....for some reason I can't upload videos to this blog anymore so I'll be emailing you all Max's Harvest Festival video, it's really cute!

Love you all,
Michelle, B.D., Max and Talia  xox

Play Date

Max and Talia had a play date at Sophia and Ellie's house, friends their same ages who live around the corner.  They all had a great time, and even us moms had a chance to chat, so we'll be spending more time together in the near future!

Happy Talia

Max and Talia and the chocolate bread

Max and Talia were being so good we decided to have some chocolate bread for dessert.  Chocolate bread, a common snack after swimming in Spain, consists of lightly toasted bread coated with Nutella.  Unfortunately, Nutella has hazelnuts in it which made Max's tongue and roof of his mouth start to itch.  Eeeks, our little boy might have a bit of a oily-nut allergy as we have also had this same reaction when he has eaten walnuts.  (Just like my Dad).  Anyway, they both enjoyed the idea of chocolate bread for a few minutes, neither one actually ate enough to make the effort worthwhile, but it was fun.  Enjoy the pics.

Sunday morning at the Daltons

We still cherish our Sunday mornings.  B.D. makes pancakes or some other yummy thing, we have fruit, coffee and juice.  This Sunday Talia had her first juicing experience, and Max started in on the Financial Times before either of us had a chance...chips off the old block!

Adam's Surprise Bday Party

Saturday in Birmingham

Once a weekly tradition, it's been a while since the Dalton family spent Saturday morning at Starbucks and fruit shopping at the outdoor market.  And with two young, inquisitive children the experience has changed greatly.  Max is (almost) happy to read stories on his own, and Talia prefers to see what everyone else in the place is up to rather than listen to stories.  But everyone loves a muffin!
We never found out why, but there were knights in the market area this morning so Max and Mama had their picture taken.  Then Max played on an activity board hitting the lights as soon as they lit up (the nice athletic lady hit the lights at the top that Max couldn't reach).  Then off shoe shopping, which obviously bored Talia to sleep.
And we ALL still love the Phil and Ted's pushchair!!
